Pride Fort Lauderdale

It’s only the first quarter of the year but 2014 has already seen big achievements for LGBT equality. And because of this, Fort Lauderdale’s annual Pride festival has a grand line-up. Going all out on 2014, there are four stellar headliners: Judy Tenuta, Tiffany, Sheena Eastong, and Lisa Lisa. With many Northerners coming to visit, this yearly pride celebration provides the community with many functions throughout the year! Pride South Florida also features the ladies of Lips, the gay Men’s Chorus, and exhibits which promote different local businesses and organizations. This year’s Pride will be bigger and better than anything else Fort Lauderdale has seen so far! 12PM, Holiday Park/War Memorial Auditorium, 800 NE 8th St, Fort Lauderdale, 33304.

A Night with Whoopi

One of showbiz’s most enduring talents, Whoopi Goldberg has been entertaining people for decades. This Saturday, she will show up in Miami to dish, gossip and tell some dick jokes. Watch her signature tell-it-like-it-is humor at the Adrienne Arscht Center. 8PM, Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, 1300 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, 33132.

A Nail-Biting Basketball Game

The Harlem Globetrotters will be playing at the American Airlines Arena for an afternoon of fun! With basketball antics such as twirling ball on the finger and bouncing the ball through their legs, the Harlem Globetrotters almost never lose a game! 4PM, American Airlines Arena, 60 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, 33132.

Don’t miss any of these fun festivities in South Florida. There are plenty more lined up and you shouldn’t miss out on any of them. When in South Florida, always remember to book a room at the Cabanas Guesthouse and Spa, the city’s best all-male, clothing-optional resort!
