This year, Rumors Bar and Grill will play host to the 8th Annual Taste of the Island in Wilton Manors, featuring the best foods and beverages the area has to offer.

The event will take place at the lovely Richardson Historic Park and Nature Preserve and will benefit the Wilton Manors Library, Wilton Manors Development Alliance, Kiwanis International, and the Wilton Manors History Society. Over 34 restaurants will participate including tried and tested favorites such as Dapur Asian Tapas, Courtyard Café, New York Grilled Cheese Co., Naked Grape, and of course, Rumors Bar and Grill.

Shirley Nolen, founder of the event, says, “We are so grateful to all of our sponsors, in particular to the owners of Rumors Bar and Grill for their generosity by becoming our ‘Top Chef Sponsor’. It’s going to be another great Taste of the Island.”

In an effort to be more “green”, eco-friendly utensils and containers will be supplied by While Foods Market.

Krishan Manners, CEO of Wilton Manors Development Alliance, says this is a great charity event will revolve around a fun evening and it’s a great way for the entire community to come out and support organizations which support the community.
