Michele Bachmann, the winner of the Iowa Straw Poll, said she would reinstate the military’s ban on openly gay troops if she were elected president next year.  Ummm, say what?!  She is cray-cray for sure!

“The ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’ policy has worked very well,” Minnesota representative Bachmann said on CNN’s State of the Union Sunday. She added that she “probably will” reinstate the ban after consulting with military commanders if elected to the country’s highest office.

President Barack Obama, Defense secretary Leon Panetta, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Mike Mullen certified in July that the military was equipped to lift the 17-year-old ban after months of training personnel. Congress repealed the law in December 2010, requiring a full training process and approval from the three leaders. The law will officially stop being enforced September 20.

Let’s do everything in our power to make sure this DOESN’T HAPPEN!
