Israel Okays Gay Rabbis

The Conservative Jewish seminary in Israel recently made waves when they voted to allow gays and lesbians to become rabbis. The highly significant decision overcomes years of opposition made by many of its own leaders.

The Schechter Rabbinical Seminary announced that they will begin accepting homosexual rabbinical students in the coming fall.  The dean said the seminary is committed to Jewish law and pluralism.
